Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Lantrova's website and platform. By creating an account, submitting a request, or quoting a job, you agree to them. Please read them carefully. If you are using Lantrova on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business.
1. What Lantrova is
Lantrova is a manufacturing-sourcing and job-management platform. We connect buyers who need custom or replacement parts with independent machine shops, fabricators, and makers ("Shops"), obtain and normalize quotes, and help manage orders through to a conformance check and delivery. Lantrova is an intermediary. We do not ourselves manufacture parts, and Shops are independent businesses, not our employees or agents.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We offer password, email one-time-code, sign-in-link, and optional two-factor authentication; you are responsible for the security of the email account you use to sign in. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. How the service works
A buyer submits a request describing a part. A person at Lantrova screens it and puts it in front of capability-matched Shops, whose identities remain masked until a job is awarded. Buyers receive comparable quotes and may approve one to place an order. Timeframes stated on the site (for example, returning quotes within two to three business days) are targets, not guarantees. Manufacturing lead time is set in each quote.
4. Fees and payment
Requesting and comparing quotes is free. You pay only when you approve and place an order. Lantrova's margin is included in the quoted price you see; no separate fee is added later. Where offered, a promotional arrangement (such as no Lantrova markup on a buyer's first order) applies only as described at the time and may be changed or withdrawn for future orders. Orders are funded up front and held until the buyer confirms the parts conform, within a stated acceptance window, after which payment is released to the Shop. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by placing an order you also agree to that provider's terms.
5. Buyer responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you submit, and you confirm that you own or are licensed to use any drawings, models, part numbers, or other materials you provide and that producing the part does not infringe a third party's rights. You must not request prohibited items (Section 9). You are responsible for determining that a part is fit for your intended use.
6. Shop responsibilities
Shops confirm they hold the capabilities and any certifications they represent, will perform work to the specification a quote is based on, and will comply with applicable laws and safety requirements. Shops set their own prices and choose which jobs to quote. Shops are responsible for the quality and conformance of the parts they produce.
7. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Files and specifications you upload are shared only with Shops invited to quote or produce your job, and only for that purpose. Drawings are watermarked and access is logged. You retain all intellectual-property rights in the materials you provide; you grant Lantrova and invited Shops a limited licence to use them solely to quote and produce your order. Shops must keep buyer materials confidential and must not use them for any other purpose.
8. Staying on-platform (non-circumvention)
Introductions between buyers and Shops are made through, and belong to, Lantrova. For twelve (12) months after an introduction, buyers and Shops agree to transact introduced work through the platform and not to circumvent Lantrova by taking an introduced relationship off-platform to avoid fees. Buyers can re-request a Shop they have worked with, masked and on-platform, at any time. Contact details are removed from on-platform messages; attempts to exchange them may be flagged.
9. Prohibited items and conduct
Lantrova does not source weapons, firearms or their components, ammunition, counterfeit parts, or safety-critical certified parts without an appropriate certification path, and may decline or pause any request it cannot screen responsibly. You must not use the platform for unlawful purposes, to infringe others' rights, to upload malicious files, or to attempt to breach its security.
10. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lantrova disclaims all implied warranties. Because Shops are independent and Lantrova does not manufacture parts, Lantrova does not warrant the work of any Shop beyond the specific conformance check it performs against the specification you supply, and does not guarantee that any Shop will quote, that a part will be fit for a particular purpose, or any particular volume of work for Shops. Lantrova is a new company and does not overstate what it can promise.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lantrova will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Lantrova's total liability arising out of or relating to the platform or an order is limited to the amounts you paid to Lantrova for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Lantrova harmless from claims arising out of your use of the platform, your materials, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer. We encourage you to contact us first at hello@lantrova.com so we can try to resolve any issue directly.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
