A · The package
What a Lantrova RFQ should contain
Our screening exists so your estimator prices parts instead of interrogating buyers. Every RFQ we send aims to include:
- Quantity Actual numbers, including spares.
- Material Specified, or flagged as shop's recommendation.
- Tolerances Stated where they matter; general tolerance otherwise.
- Finish Paint, coating, or surface condition required.
- Required date The customer's real date, not a reflex “ASAP.”
- Drawings & files Everything the customer supplied, organized.
- Response deadline When we need your quote back.
- Inspection requirements Where relevant to the job.
- Delivery expectations Dock delivery or customer pickup.
- Known assumptions Missing information named as missing.
Customer files are handled under confidentiality: they go only to shops invited to quote the job, and only for quoting and production.

The commercial arrangement, plainly
What you get
- Free to join as a founding member: no cost to come on and no commission skimmed off your price. A membership may be introduced later as the network grows, and founding members will be grandfathered.
- No exclusivity. Keep every customer and channel you already have.
- Quote your own pricing. The number the customer sees is yours.
- Your identity stays masked, even after you win, so the network can't be used to poach your shop.
- Win once and the buyer can send you repeat work by name, they re-request your shop through Lantrova, masked, with the same escrow and conformance sign-off. The relationship stays yours, and it stays on-platform.
- Paid without chasing: the buyer funds the order up front. You're paid out on delivery, once the buyer signs off that the parts conform, within a fixed acceptance window, with a fair dispute path, so you're never left chasing payment.
- You decide, job by job, whether to quote. Declining one job doesn't remove you from consideration for the next.
What we ask
- Honest lead times: the date you'll actually hit.
- Complete quotations: price, setup, lead time, assumptions.
- Responses by the stated deadline, including “we pass.”
- Early notice of delays or spec problems. Bad news ages badly.
- Conformance to the specification you accepted.
- Clear communication when you've had to assume something.
